Your host, Michel Coppens
… enjoys a solid reputation as one of Belgium’s
best chefs. In 1978, he opened his own restaurant,
simply named Michel, in Groot-Bijgaarden near Brussels.
After only two years, the restaurant was awarded a
Michelin star. In addition to defending his star
with brio, Michel contributed to wide range of
publications and TV programmes. In January 2003, Michel
left the restaurant for the Onsemhoeve, which he and
his wife run on a full-time basis. They now devote
all their attention to their wine trade, their livestock
- and especially – to their guests. |
